AGM 2019 & Proposed Constitutional Changes
Proposed Constitutional Changes
A redrafted constitution for the Holocaust Centre is being proposed for the upcoming AGM on 18 August. These changes have been moved by Miriam Bookman and seconded by Deborah Hart. Most of the changes simply update the current constitution so the language is simpler and processes are easier to understand. The substantive changes are a reduction in the size of the Board and changes to the voting process to allow for electronic voting.
The proposed constitution will be put forward at the AGM after the election of officers. This means that if the proposed constitution is adopted, it will not apply to the election of officers at the AGM. The current constitution will still apply.
Further information on the proposed changes will be circulated to members early next week and this will include a breakdown of all the changes and a rationale behind each of them.
