The Holocaust Centre of New Zealand is located inside the Wellington Jewish Community Centre.

Public hours

You are welcome to explore our exhibition spaces and research library during our standard public hours:

Sunday to Friday: 10:00 am – 1:00 pm

Saturday: Closed

Holidays: Closed on public holidays and Jewish holy days.

Visits outside of these hours can be arranged by prior appointment. When a school or adult group has booked to visit, the Centre is closed to the public.

To ensure the safety of our staff, volunteers, and visitors, the building operates a secure entry framework.

When you arrive at the front gate, please press the intercom button marked 'Holocaust Centre' to speak with our team. You will be asked to display a valid photo ID (such as a passport, driver’s licence, or Kiwi Access card) to the intercom camera before being escorted into the centre by a volunteer host or staff member.
