Holocaust Centre of New Zealand membership is an individual membership with an annual subscription fee of $75 per person, with an opportunity to renew each year.
As a non-government funded not-for-profit, we are highly dependent on contributions from members, donors, and philanthropic agencies, to enable us to accomplish our mission, through our wide range of activities.
We sincerely appreciate our members' highly valued and continuous support for the important work that we do.
Mission:
The Holocaust Centre of New Zealand inspires and empowers action against antisemitism, discrimination, and apathy by remembering, educating, and bearing witness to the Holocaust.
Your membership helps us to:
Educate: Holocaust education on-site, off-site, and online, through our travelling exhibitions, Inge Woolf Memorial Seminar for NZ Educators at Yad Vashem, teaching trunks, webinars and adult education
Witness: Recording and sharing testimony, working with the second generation, taking care of our collection of Holocaust artefacts and documents
Remember: Commemorations such as the Kristallnacht concert, UN International Holocaust Remembrance Day ceremonies, and Yom HaShoah ceremonies.
Act: Advocacy against antisemitism, discrimination, and prejudice
As a member of the Holocaust Centre of New Zealand, you have an opportunity to shape the future of the Centre.
Members can:
- Vote at our AGM.
- Be nominated to the HCNZ Board, in line with our constitution.
- Receive Members-only discounts for some pay events.
- Make a difference: Members are our ambassadors for change, our advocates for Holocaust education and remembrance in Aotearoa New Zealand. You share in the fight against Holocaust denial, distortion, and misappropriation. You share in the fight to combat antisemitism, discrimination, and apathy.
- Receive the Centre’s newsletters where you will find the latest news and updates on the Centre’s activities, and receive Members' only notices.
